Parental Consent For Mental & Physical Health Services
The Edgewood ISD works with school staff and parents to address the physical, mental, emotional and social health needs of each student in our district.

The Health Services (Nursing) team is here to support the overall well-being of every student. Our goal is to make sure our school health programs help students stay healthy, succeed in the classroom, and thrive for life.
During the 89th Texas Legislative Session, lawmakers passed Senate Bill 12. This new law requires schools to get annual parental consent before providing routine physical or mental health services. This includes things like first aid, short-term counseling, or vision and hearing screenings.
